Product outer packaging, inner packaging, instructions, brochures, and shipping boxes: If the brand owner is responsible for the design, they need to provide the product copy, including ingredients, efficacy, usage precautions, storage methods, etc., as well as the factory name, address, production license number, and barcode. If the factory is responsible for the design, the brand owner needs to provide a complete plan. Due to various registration systems currently in place, packaging needs to be prepared in advance.

Advertising copy includes product copy, promotional copy, and marketing copy. Product copy is usually provided by the manufacturer, while other copy needs to be agreed upon by both parties.

Sampling: Sampling is usually completed before signing the contract. The brand owner should test the samples as thoroughly as possible after receiving them.  Based on actual needs and test results, samples can be adjusted repeatedly until satisfactory before signing the contract.

Procurement: If the cosmetics manufacturing factory is responsible for procurement, it is crucial to supervise the printing and packaging to ensure there are no errors. Therefore, sample inspection is especially important, as there may be differences between the computer design draft and the actual printed product.  Furthermore, strictly managed factories usually conduct quality inspections upon receiving materials, verifying that the samples and bulk goods match. Any discrepancies should be followed up and addressed promptly.
